I submitted a new listing to the MLS and noticed that my name and phone number was removed from the public marketing remarks. Why is that?

The MLS Rules prohibit the following information from being included in the public marketing remarks: website addresses, email addresses, names, and phone numbers. This is because the data is distributed in IDX feeds to third party websites and is sent from buyer’s agents to their clients in their portals and reports. The listing broker is still clearly identified on the listing though.
