Standard Forms in Spanish

No. As much as we would like to help, we don’t currently offer forms in other languages. The West Michigan Regional Forms Committee (which is comprised of representatives of multiple Associations, including GRAR) has discussed this possibility in the past, but has instead recommended that agents obtain a translator to assist with transactions where language might be a hurdle. The difficulty in offering forms in multiple languages is that a translator would still be necessary for the other party to the transaction (buyer or seller) and the agents working the transaction to be certain that both versions of the form say the same thing and that everyone has a clear understanding of the terms and conditions of the agreement. We have also been told that there are a variety of Spanish dialects, so that can complicate the process as well. Lastly, to initially prepare the forms and then update them each year in multiple languages would be quite costly. Instead, the Committee recommends that those with a need in this area reach out to the Hispanic Center of West Michigan at (616) 742-0200 for assistance with Spanish forms and/or translation services.
