Michelle grew up in Wayland before moving to Wyoming, Michigan as a teenager. She has remained in the West Michigan area ever since, giving her firsthand knowledge of the communities, neighborhoods, and lifestyle that make this region such a desirable place to live.

She purchased her first home in Wyoming at the age of 23 and spent 15 years there before moving to Byron Center, where she now lives on the property she once dreamed of owning.

Michelle appreciates the unique balance that West Michigan offers. Residents can enjoy the energy and amenities of Grand Rapids while also having access to small-town charm, beautiful lakeshore communities, extensive hiking trails, winter recreation, and countless outdoor activities throughout all four seasons.

Turning a New Opportunity into a Career

Michelle began her real estate journey in 2020 during the early months of the pandemic. While temporarily away from her healthcare career, she was inspired by someone close to her who had recently earned a real estate license. The opportunity seemed like a natural fit and a productive way to spend her time.

What started as a new challenge quickly became a true passion.

After obtaining her real estate license, Michelle gradually reduced her hours in healthcare before transitioning into real estate full-time later that same year. Since then, she has never looked back. She found a career that perfectly aligned with her personality, interests, communication style, and desire to help others.

Since entering the industry, Michelle has loved every aspect of helping clients achieve their real estate goals.

A Practical Approach That Benefits Clients

One of Michelle’s greatest strengths is her ability to take action and solve problems. When something needs to be done, she takes care of it.

Her hands-on knowledge of construction, home maintenance, and property improvements provides additional value to buyers and sellers. Life Outside of Real Estate

When she is not working with clients, Michelle enjoys spending time in her pole barn building, fixing, and creating things. She considers herself a tinkerer and enjoys projects that allow her to work with her hands and learn new skills.

She also enjoys many hobbies that she jokingly describes as “grandpa-like,” including lawn care, home projects, and enjoying a good whiskey.

Over the past year, Michelle has become involved in a local gym community in Byron Center, where she enjoys staying active, building relationships, and focusing on personal growth.

Giving back to the community is also important to her. Michelle has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity through both the Women Build and Carpenters’ Club programs, helping support affordable housing initiatives throughout West Michigan.
