Does GRAR have a policy regarding late night recruitment calls?

GRAR cannot prevent a broker from calling to solicit another broker’s licensee(s), but there are laws in Michigan regarding the hours that those calls can be made. It is illegal to place a commercial call after 9:00 p.m. and before 9:00 a.m. If you receive a late night robo call from a broker who holds membership in GRAR, please contact the supervising broker of the firm that reached out to you to report the after-hours call. If you do not know the name of the broker, please call the GRAR office at 616-940-8200 and we can share that information with you or you may look that information up within the GRAR roster. Thereafter, if you do not receive satisfaction from your conversation with the broker, you might report the call online to the Michigan Attorney General at this link.
