I received a purchase agreement that addresses the buyer’s agent’s commission. Is that permitted?

The buyer may request that the seller provide financial assistance to cover/assist with their buyer’s broker fee or other closing costs as part of the purchase agreement. However, the purchase agreement may not be used by the buyer’s agent to ask the listing broker to share its commission because the brokers are not a party to that agreement (it is a buyer/seller contract). That was previously true, continues to be the case, and is still upheld by the Code of Ethics
