How to Assign a Lockbox to a Listing

The easiest way to assign your lockbox to a specific listing is to be physically in front of the lockbox. Open your SentriKey Real Estate App.

From the top left corner, click on Menu > My Lockboxes > Release Shackle.

The app will ask you if you want to assign the lockbox to a listing.

If you have a lockbox that is still assigned, it will ask you if you want to remove the lockbox from the property. Remove it from the current assignment and wait for the Bluetooth blue light to stop blinking, then repeat the steps above.

Benefits of assigning a lockbox to a listing:

• Allows the broker to determine which agent is using that box.

• Allows the broker, listing agent, and/or office support staff to determine where a box is currently located or where it was last located.

• Enhances the security of the system by connecting lockbox activity to a specific address.

• A lockbox must also be assigned to a live listing in order to generate one-day codes.

What Is A One Day Code?

A SentriLock One Day Code is used to grant temporary access to your lockbox. It can also easily be shared with others with just a click of a button. They are generated automatically through the SentriKey® app. They are used to grant temporary access to your lockbox. It can also easily be shared with others with just a click of a button. Follow the steps below or watch the video above to generate a One Day Code as well as share it.

How To Get A One Day Code

  1. Log into the SentriKey App and tap on the three bars (Hamburger Menu) in the top left of the app.
  2. Select ‘My Lockboxes.’
  3. Then select, ‘Get Access Code.’
  4. Select the lockbox/address.
    • If you do not see the address, type in the lockbox serial number in the search bar.
    • Click ‘Done’ or ‘Search.’
  5. In the ‘Assigned To’ field, type the person’s name who will be using it.
  6. Select the date for when it is needed.
  7. Tap ‘Get One Day Code.’
    • You will then enter your PIN or verify biometrics.
    • It will then be displayed on the screen.

How To Share It

  1. Tap on the share button in the top-right. (Share icon may vary depending on the phone type.)
  2. Select how you’d like to share the code. (ex: text or email)
  3. If you select email or text, enter the ‘TO’ information (phone number/email address) and click send.
    • The message will contain the lockbox serial number, valid on date, code, and the directions on how to use it.
