Am I allowed to advertise another broker’s listing?

Yes, under certain conditions. Section 6.2 of the MLS Rules & Regulations states that: a specific listing may be shared directly from the MLS (or an IDX feed) to social media by any Participant other than the listing broker without the prior written or electronic consent of the listing broker, provided the post includes the name of the listing broker/company in a font size at least as large as the largest type size used to display the listing data. Where a social media site does not permit the sharing directly from the MLS or the posting of a hyperlink, such as Instagram, alternative methods for sharing the listing are permitted subject to the foregoing conditions concerning the display of the listing broker/company. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a listing broker may preclude any Participant(s) from advertising the listing broker’s listing(s) upon written or electronic notice to the Participant(s).
