Agents are not required to leave business cards after showings, although some consider it to be a professional courtesy. If a card is left, GRAR has policy related to its content though. That policy states that information provided to other broker’s clients, including business cards, must be limited to contact information only and not contain marketing statements or materials. This policy is further supported by Article 16 of the Code of Ethics, which states: REALTORS® shall not engage in any practice or take any action inconsistent with exclusive representation or exclusive brokerage relationship agreements that other REALTORS® have with clients.
